Manic Focus at Terminal West Friday, Feb 14, 2025

ALL AGES WELCOME

Manic Focus

Denver-based producer Manic Focus is an artist of many talents. As a magician, he uses sleight of hand to pull objects out of thin air. As an electronic artist, he executes similarly impossible sonic acts with his vibrant, genre-defying music. But his strengths lie not only in the musical and magical: what also makes Manic Focus stand apart is his mental triumphs.

Manic Focus’ unique style - defined by a hybrid of electronic, funk, soul, and hip-hop - has helped the producer cultivate a fervent fanbase captivated by his immersive studio trickery and vibrant creative spirit - a combination that has led him to performances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Hulaween, North Coast Music Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Camp Bisco, Wakaan Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, and multiple opening slots at Red Rocks in support of Zhu, Emancipator, Pretty Lights, and more.

Now, coming off his 7th studio album, Never Not Blue, a new full-length project that showcases the producer’s vast growth as a multi-genre artist, including songs with the blues-infected electronic style of his earlier work as well as a wide range of modern bass music influences. Having consistently evolved over the past decade, fleshing out his sound to incorporate new approaches to genre, songwriting, and composition, Manic Focus’ new album is an amalgamation of the various styles and sounds he’s explored over the years. In many ways, Never Not Blue is a career retrospective - a look back at where Manic Focus began, and just how far he’s come.

Minnesota: Out Of The Void Pt. Two Saturday, Apr 13, 2024

The man named after the land with 10,000 lakes has been a force on the bass scene for nearly a decade. Although he’s made a name for himself in the electronic music space, Minnesota’s (aka Christian Bauhofer) musical journey started with heavy doses of classic rock, emo and screamo. He was heavily influenced by the psychedelic style of rock legends including Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and cites them as inspiration for what would become his own sound. “The songs were journeys and I really like the epicness and the trip the song took you on,” he says.

potions and Player Dave @ Terminal West

potions is an electronic music producer / musician based out of Northern California. Blending a variety of tempos and styles, his music walks the line between experimental psychedelia and a dance-able, narrative experience. The forthcoming album, New Earth Formula (out July 2022), is an alluring and melodic journey through the mind of the multi-instrumental producer. Emphasizing unique rhythmic and melodic cadence with an exploration of distortion and atonality, potions seeks to provide a full spectrum audio experience derived from a broad range of influences.

Player Dave is a force against calamity. Born Charlie Sahm of San Clemente, the luminous producer is a testament to the therapeutic profit of sound. Steeped in ambition and intrigue, Sahm was raised exploring a comprehensive array of instruments. Growing up surveying the wonders
