In the spirit of Healoween, Evolutionary Education® is honored to present:

EARTHBEAT (Southeast)

Saturday, December 21st, 2019 (Winter Solstice)
5pm - 12am
Chosewood Ballroom
Atlanta, Georgia

Evolutionary Education® is honored to present EARTHBEAT (Southeast), a regional music, art, wellness, and climate-activism initiative. EARTHBEAT is 100% Not-For-Profit and is intended to foster creative collaboration and community networking, to elevate our collective intelligence, to provide a safe space for self-expression and healing, and to celebrate life in general.

In the last few years, the need to “graduate” from the unsustainability of the festival scene has inspired a new kind of gathering—one built upon embracing both personal, cultural, and ecological responsibility. EARTHBEAT follows in this emergent tradition.

On December 21st, 2019, the Winter Solstice, we will gather at Chosewood Ballroom in Historic South Atlanta to address the most pertinent issue of our lifetime: climate crisis. The event will begin with a Community Climate Forum moderated by the Director of Evolutionary Education®, Nick Atlas, PhD, along with a handful of local activists and thought-leaders. You are strongly encouraged to attend this portion of the event, as it is what makes EARTHBEAT unique and will set the tone for the evening and future events.

The purpose of the Climate Forum, which will last a little under two hours, is to address climate-related issues by way of small, breakout groups that will allow for intimate, fluid dialogue amongst members. Each group will have its own moderator and sub-topic. You will be welcomed (but not required) to share your voice, your concerns, and your ideas in an effort to uncover what is most relevant to our community at present, and to assess how our collective can best be of service individually, locally, and globally.

After meeting, the groups will reconvene in an effort to integrate our various experiences and establish a concrete, action-plan(s) to be carried out following the event. Examples of action-plans include, but are not limited to, product boycotts, community work-projects, political interventions, therapeutic praxis, etc.

In short, it is time to come together, mobilize, and make an impact.

And, after we work, we play.

Joining us to cleanse the space and lift our spirits, we are ecstatic to welcome back:

YAIMA (Seattle)

A Cascadian Elemental & Alchemical Electronic Music Duo, YAIMA (Mas Higasa and Pepper Proud) creates a deeply captivating and finely-tuned container for their audiences. Allowing the listener the opportunity to Journey through Sonic Soundscapes, pulsing rhythms and sensually stimulating, heart-centered compositions, YAIMA inspires each listener to return to their truth. Also joining us, the sonic dreamweaver:

EROTHYME (Boulder)

Erothyme is a project most known for deep, ethereal, melodic electronic music. Across 10 years and 27 releases, the project has branched out considerably, exploring many feelings, energy levels, and influences. The music is crafted from a broad palette of source sound, including synthesizers, various musical instruments, and voice, as well as found sound from nature, cities, and everyday life. While weaving its way from downtempo and ambient music, through funk and breakbeat space jazz, all the way out the other side to glitchy digital drumnbass, the music always maintains its passionate authenticity and peculiar stylistic fingerprint.

And the soulful singer/songwriter:

NOAH PROUDFOOT (Asheville)

Delivering soulful performances that range from funk to neo-soul and roots reggae, Noah Proudfoot's music weaves together a story of the shared human experience. From the humorous and spirited lyrics of 'Fruitarian Rapsody,' to the solemn revelations of 'Turntable Tuesday,' his music explores both the struggles and celebrations of this life. Incorporating live looping and percussion with his brother, Ben Stockdale, his songs transform any room into a jungle dance party. With two albums released, one solo and one with his band Noah Proudfoot and the Botanicals, his music has been heard across the country and globe, gathering a following of like-minded hearts and minds.
